Room 9 Reading Detectives!

We have been working really hard on listening for clues when we read! We know the author adds clues to help us understand the book, so we are being book detectives.  This week we've been reading paragraphs about different farm animals and the students need to guess what animal the writer is describing using the clues provided. These aren't easy!! Check us out in "action"!

100th Day

We had a fabulous day on the 100th day of school!!! We did lots of activities around the number 100 and we had a TON of fun!!  We can't wait to see what the last few months of second grade will be like! Check out our hats and glasses! 

Gingerbread House Celebration!

 

Room 9 has been doing a fabulous job of being safe, being kind, and doing our best that we filled our Champ Band bin AGAIN!!  We celebrated this time by making foam gingerbread houses as a culminating activity to our folktales literacy unit! The students had so much fun and they were super creative! Check out their masterpieces!

UMS State Sponsored Snow Plow

 UMS has sponsored a VT State snow plow and it visited us today!!! We took our picture in front of our sign! Watch out for it this winter!

Conference Sign Up

               

Conferences are over zoom this fall and they will be held on Monday, November 22nd from 10:30 - 6:60 and Tuesday, November 23rd from 8:00 - noon.  Please sign up for 1 time slot per child.
