Learning Materials for School Closure

I have put together a learning packet for each child in Room 9 for this week.  If your child isn't here on Tuesday, March 17th to receive his/her packet, the school will be open on Wednesday, March 18th from 7:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. for parents to come and pick up your child's work .  

I will be working on Thursday and Friday with my second grade team to put together another learning packet for the next two weeks.  Mr. Antonicci will send more information home about that soon. Stay healthy!!

March Conference Sign-Up

Spring Conferences are right around the corner!  Conferences will be held on Monday, March 2nd from noon - 4:00 and Tuesday, March 3rd from 10:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.  You can click the link below to sign up. Read Aloud Day in Room 9

Yesterday was World Read Aloud Day and we were busy reading in Room 9!

Google Slide Show about Caribou

The students worked hard to research and create a google slideshow about caribou!  We picked this topic because we will begin learning about Alaska after vacation. Each pair had to come up with a question to answer and then they used various books to help them answer the question.   We are learning how to use text features to find answers and then how to put that information in "our own words"!  Check out all of our hard work!

Holiday Party

Gingerbread House Candy Needed

We will be making foam gingerbread houses as a culminating event to our gingerbread fables unit.  I like to give the kids small bags of candy to snack on as they create their masterpiece. If you are able to help out and provide a treat, that would be great!! Here is a link to our signup genius!
