As the culminating event in our Lake Champlain unit, each student make their own slideshow highlighting 2 ways that Lake Champlain helps Colchester as well as 2 things we could do to keep Lake Champlain clean. Everyone worked so hard and did a fabulous job!

It's time for conferences again!! Our conferences will be held over zoom on Monday, November 23rd from 10:30 a.m. - 6:50 p.m. and on Tuesday, November 24th from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Conferences are 15 minutes per child and I'll send you a zoom link earlier in the morning. You'll "wait" in the waiting room and once I finish with the family before you, I'll admit you to the conference room. Since report cards aren't coming home until December, we'll talk about general academic progress, successes in the classroom, and our next steps for the second trimester. Celebration Time!
We have had a FABULOUS start to being back in school all together!! We worked hard to listen, be safe, and use growth mindset these last two days. After all of this hard work, we filled out Champ Band Bin today!! When we fill our bin, we add a mask to our school bulletin board. Today we added the last mask, so not only are we having a classroom celebration, we are also going to have a whole school celebration!! YAY Room 9!!! Room 9 Is Busy!
Things are off to a great start in Room 9! We've developed our classroom rules and we've made our amazing self portraits that hang on our back wall! We have also gone over our "learning targets" for each subject. Everyone is working really hard and I can't wait until Monday, October 26th when we become one full second grade class!

We Can Do This!
I am so proud of all of you!!! You are all working so hard and you have such great growth mindset!! Tomorrow is our first class zoom meeting at noon. I'll send the link to families at 11:55. Remember that if you can't make this meeting, don't stress! I am going to have 1-2 meetings per week at various times! Stay strong!
Vincent did his robot writing yesterday! He wrote that he'd like the robot to take all of the sickness away so that we could all go back to school! I totally agree Vincent!!!

Missing You
Everyone has been working so hard!! I'm so proud of each and every kiddo in Room 9! This is our last week for "paper and pencil" worksheets and we'll start our online learning next week on Tuesday, April 7th. It'll take a few days to get the hang of everything (for me too!!) so please be patient and flexible. I miss you!!

Working Hard
I received quite a few pictures yesterday of our amazing classmates working!!! I'm going to try to post 2 a day so if your picture isn't posted, don't worry, I'll post it in a day or two.
Today is also a great day to build a snowman!!! That's a great activity for P.E. today!!

Audible App
There is a wonderful app called Audible that allows you to listen to a book of your choosing. I listen to books all them time while I'm cleaning, folding laundry, or cooking. It is free for students while school is closed. Just click on the link below and give it a try!! I highly recommend it!!
